Plain Clip Plug is a plugin for Spark (a very nice freeware hotkey application) which removes any formatting from text which is on the clipboard. It is basically identical to Plain Clip, a freeware stand-alone application I wrote for this purpose. As Plain Clip is intended to be used with hotkey applications such as Spark, incorporating its functionality into a Spark plugin was a logical step.
In contrast to the standalone application, the plugin version has an additional feature: it supports sending an emulated Command-V keystroke (in other words: “Paste”) and can thus be used to create a “Paste unstyled” shortcut that should work anywhere where you can use Command-V to insert text from the clipboard.
System requirements
As Spark itself needs Mac OS X 10.3, this is the minimum requirements for using this plugin—and of course, you will need Spark. Plain Clip Plug 1.0 only supports Spark 1. Spark 2 users have to use use Plain Clip Plug 2.0 instead.
