“Pdftotext” is a shell program for converting PDF (Portable Document Format / Adobe Acrobat) documents into plain text. It is Open Source Software written by Glyph & Cog, LLC; this implies I only compiled it and built this installer package, but I'm not the author of this software.
This installer will install nothing but a “pdftotext” binary and its manpage, compiled from the unmodified sources. Originally, “pdftotext” is part of the “Xpdf” software, which is a viewer for PDF documents. As I only needed the converter and not the viewer itself, this package does not contain anything except “pdftotext”. (Besides the fact that a full “Xpdf” installation requires the X window system.)

System requirements
This package was created on Mac OS X 10.4.8. It should run on 10.3 as well as 10.4 system versions.
